The neighborhood and the public park are different places: a home described as being in Delaney Park is not necessarily beside the park or within the same school attendance zone as another listing. Homes and neighborhood character

Delaney Park’s housing includes older homes with individual architectural details alongside renovated properties and newer construction. Brick streets and mature trees contribute to the setting, but the experience varies by block. Compare floor plans, usable outdoor space, driveway and garage access, and the relationship between the house and neighboring properties.

During a showing, look beyond finishes. Ask about the age and documented condition of major systems, additions and renovations, and arrange appropriate professional inspections. A larger renovated home and a smaller property needing work may require very different budgets even when they are close together.

Older homes and historic district boundaries

An older home is not automatically in a designated historic district. Orlando’s official historic districts include nearby Lake Cherokee and Lake Copeland; Delaney Park is not listed as a separate district. Review the city’s historic preservation district information and address lookup for the specific property before planning alterations. Delaney Park: amenities, address and parking

The public park is at 1055 Delaney Avenue. According to the City of Orlando’s Delaney Park page, it covers 7.25 acres and opens from sunrise to sunset. Previously called Duckworth Park, it was renamed in 1959.

Getting around: Downtown, SoDo and Orlando Health

Delaney Park’s location puts Downtown and the SoDo area within the same part of the city as your home search. Nearby employment destinations include Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center, at 52 W. Underwood Street, and Winnie Palmer Hospital on W. Miller Street.

Travel time depends on the exact property, destination, traffic and parking. Test the journey at the time you normally travel, including any walk from a parking area to your workplace. Which schools serve a Delaney Park address?

Orange County Public Schools assigns schools by the student’s home address. Do not assume that Blankner, Pershing or Boone serves every property described as Delaney Park, or that a school mentioned in a listing is a guaranteed assignment.

2. Check the relevant school year and any announced rezoning. OCPS notes that search results may not reflect rezoning approved during the current school year.
3. Confirm unresolved assignment questions with OCPS before relying on a listing’s school information.

Comparing Delaney Park homes for sale and prices

A neighborhood-wide asking-price figure is not enough to value an individual home.
